Documentary Premiere: Restoration of Beaver’s 1802 Log House
Join us for a captivating journey as we uncover the remarkable story of the 1802 Log House in Beaver, Pennsylvania. What began as a routine demolition of an old home led to an astonishing discovery: the very logs believed to have once formed Fort McIntosh in 1778. This fort played a pivotal role in American history, serving as the headquarters for the Continental Army’s Western Department during the American Revolution. Don’t miss this chance to witness history being discovered—literally! Following the screening, there will be a Q&A session with Chuck Copeland and Ed McLaughlin, both long-time members of the Beaver Area Heritage Foundation and integral to the log house restoration. Their insightful contributions, featured in the documentary, are enriched by a portfolio of images from the Heritage Museum’s Collection archives. Refreshments will be provided.
BONUS FEATURE: A follow-up to Chuck Copeland’s popular talk on the bricks of Beaver.
