Speaker Series Presentation: Abraham Lincoln and Pennsylvania

Geoff Elliott has been fascinated with Abraham Lincoln since childhood. His Abraham Lincoln Blog has been used as a source for all things Lincoln by schools across the country, including those overseas on U.S. military bases. He also runs an account on Twitter, Lincoln Belongs To The Ages, which has nearly 20,000 followers. He has been interviewed by newspapers across the country, including The Hill, the official paper of Congress in Washington, D.C. Geoff has spoken extensively throughout his home state of Ohio over the past 20 years about all aspects of Lincoln’s life and career. While he holds a degree in Computer Science, Geoff’s passion is history, especially the history of Abraham Lincoln. Hopefully that will suffice. I think my talk to your group will focus on Lincoln’s many deep ties to the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, as well as his reverence for the Declaration of Independence. He revered George Washington and spoke at Independence Hall in Philadelphia.
